◦◦◦a book: did you read it, are you reading it, do you wanna read it, did you write it?◦◦◦

⦿ I am reading: Cover Butterfly Dreams Butterfly Dreams by A. Meredith Walters: BECKETT is #BookBoyfriend material. I am swooning all over him! ♥♥♥

⦿ I read and reviewed: Untamed cover Untamed by S.C. Stephens:  S.C. Stephens did Griffin and Anna’s story justice. A story about second chances, redemption, acceptance, and unconditional love, you can’t help but to finish reading with a smile on your face and a warm heart.

walk through fire cover⦿ I posted my review for: Walk Through Fire by Kristen Ashley: Walk Through Fire is a happy, feel good novel with flowery biker goodness, that will leave you swooning and wishing the man in your life talked like Low! I admired Millie’s strength and courage, and loved High’s dedication and tenderness.

◦◦◦AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT◦◦◦

⦿ The last two weeks, I did a shout out to some blogger friends. This week, I want to do a shout out to an author. It is no surprise to my followers and friends that I have a strong admiration for her. I stalk follower her social media accounts, newsletter and website. A new release? I am on it. I will drop everything to read it. If she were to come to or near my city, I would be there. Any guesses which author MAKES ME SWOON? Well, no doubt you have guessed correctly! Penny Reid. You see, she is one of the smartest, most kind, compassionate and endearing people I have never met.  She goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable, – her Shark’s of Awesome (Penny Reid Fan Club) on Facebook is testament to that. She is involved with her fan base. She takes the time to connect, whether through social media or her newsletter (you can sign up for that here) you always feel like you are talking to a friend. She IS AWESOME!

But not just fans. Penny reaches out to fellow authors. And in a day and age of “to each their own”, it’s a “dog eat dog” world, Penny helps others. On her website she tells others what works (and in some cases, what didn’t) for her. Click here for an example. She is an open book (pun not intended). This is the ultimate testament to her character in my opinion!

Let’s talk books! If you have never read a Penny Reid book – I, I can’t even! I am just sorry that you haven’t yet had the experience. Her books are a breath of fresh air. They are a world unto their own.

She writes smart books about and for SMART women. You won’t find whiny heroines who complain and look for someone to rescue them. NOPE! They can do that by themselves! YAY! They will challenge their heroes with enough smart banter to keep those men on their toes. And let’s talk about those men, shall we? Penny’s men (um, that sounds like she has a harem) are sexy, smart, protective and REAL. <— WHAT? YEP. Sometimes alpha, sometimes funny, but always swoom-worthy, I have yet to “meet” a Penny hero I didn’t like.

Her books are heartfelt and humorous at the same time! They will make you laugh, sometimes make you cry and always make you smile. They will make you think, because she challenges your views (and because she often uses words that you will need a dictionary to understand 😉 ). She doesn’t succumb to using useless drama to fill the pages of her novels. Her character’s are REAL and deal with real life situations. Also, she gives one of the best character descriptions out there. Penny’s books are unique. They ARE Penny. And that means they are AWESOME!
