Jessica Sorensen has given me a look inside 5 broken lives, and two tormented souls with Breaking Nova. She made me feel their pain, made me cry their tears, made me see their lost hopes and dreams.
An excellent depiction of what loss can do to the human spirit, we are shown not just the daily struggles to get by, but the hours, minutes, and seconds of the day that are so hard to maneuver. Ms. Sorensen navigates us through the difficult path of the stages of grief…some of them…not everyone makes it through all of them. In real life we sometimes get stuck in some of the stages and just like real life, this book also deals with what happens when we get stuck.
The writing was excellent, she drew me into the story, and kept me captivated. I never skimmed a line, never skipped ahead, I didn’t want to miss a word. This was my favorite of her books. I look forward to the next in the series.
