3 1/2 stars for this lumberjack book. It was a simple, sweet story about a soon to be divorced woman who meets a sexy, single lumberjack. The two meet when she, Dianne, nearly burns her rental down, but is saved as he, John, the next door neighbor, comes to the rescue. It is written from the male POV. I didn’t find the male POV believable. It was too feminine. The plot was solid, and held together throughout the book. The characters were developed fairly well, they weren’t emotionally deep, but you knew who they were and what they were doing and wanted. I found the writing to be ‘ok’. It wasn’t deeply expressive, nor did it make me feel. The ending seemed too abrupt and had me turning the pages looking for the rest of it. Overall, it was a light read, and if that’s what you are looking for then go for it.
