Elle Casey is fricking hilarious. With ‘Rebel’, she had me laughing out loud most of the book.
Her writing was witty and charming. This was not a emotionally deep book, and that’s ok, sometimes I need a break from those, and this was a perfect break! She gave me the perfect combination of humor and tender moments. There is some steam too!
Teagan’s character is strong, sassy and funny as hell. Her inner dialogue was so funny and witty, I just knew she would be a girl I would love to hang out with. She’s grown up an entitled life, when the death of her father thrusts her into poverty and homelessness. Her strength pushes her to survive. I loved that she maintained her personality through all the hard stuff. She just kept pushing, kept her head up, and never gave up. A strong woman character was great to see.
Rebel, holy hotness! The quiet, silent, HOT, alpha-male, was so swoon-worthy, when we got to hear from him. That’s really the only problem I had with this book. Because he doesn’t talk much, and since this is told from Teagan’s POV, I never really learned much about him, his life, his background or his thoughts. So, I didn’t really get to connect with him. I wish there had been more dialogue between them so that we could understand him better. Because I want to KNOW Rebel!
The chemistry between the two is sexy, hot, and undeniable.
“Rebel, please…”
“Please what?”
“Please…finish this.”
“How do you want me to do it?”I think he knows I’m standing here on the edge and he’s taunting me into jumping. He’s evil. “Say it,” he urges his tone almost threatening. All he does is make me hotter.
Ya, fans self, H.O.T.!
This was a great read!
