6 Stars for After Forever (The Ever Trilogy #2) by Jasinda Wilder

Posted April 29, 2014 by FMA in 6 Stars and above - It left me with a book hangover!

You HAVE TO GIVE After Forever a CHANCE. It is beautifully and powerfully written. A gut-wrenching story about absolute, all consuming, once in a life-time love, and sorrow, loss and sadness. Sadness so deep that it excruciating.

” Desperation is a chemical, a narcotic. I was desperate for anything, for any emotion other than what I’d been living with for the past year.”

I would hope that everyone would give this series a chance. This is the second book in the series and again, I have to say, it is one of the best written books I have ever read. There are circumstances in the book that are difficult to read. But, they are a direct result of overwhelming pain, loneliness and despair and of being left with the unknown for so long. I get it. But this book is about more than that. So much more.

The LOVE LETTERS – OMG are absolutely beautiful. From the depths of his soul, you can feel Cade’s love for Ever, and his despair.

“You promised Ever, you promised you’d never leave me. I know you didn’t want to, you didn’t mean to. But you still did, and I’m back to being numb and floating through life, through every day.”

“I don’t know who I am anymore, Ever. I’m a castaway. Lost. Drowning. I love you. That’s the only true thing I know, and it’s all I have to hold on to. I love you. I’ll love you forever. Until the day I die, and I’ll love you in whatever world comes after this one. Cade”

I wish I had a drop of the talent Jasinda Wilder has. With this series, she has simply blown me away!
