Gavin:
Ellie Montague is smart, sensitive, and so gorgeous it hurts to look at her. She’s also an intern in my office. The office of the Prime Minister of Canada.*
That’s me. The PM.
She calls me that because when she calls me Sir, I get hard and she gets flustered, and as long as she’s my intern, I can’t twist my hands in her strawberry-blonde hair and show her what else I’d like her to do with that pretty pink mouth.**

Ellie:
How much I like the PM varies on a daily basis. He’s intense, controlling, and a perfectionist in every way—and he demands the same of his staff.
How much I want him never wavers.
There’s something about him that tugs at me deep inside, and makes me wish that just once he’d cross the line in a late night work session. I’d take that secret to the grave if it meant I got a taste of the barely restrained beast inside him.***

FOOTNOTES:
* This is a fictional erotic romance. No prime ministers or interns were harmed in the making of this book.
** Except it’s a BDSM romance, so they were hurt a little.
*** Spoiler alert: she gets more than a taste. And she likes it.

I was provided a review copy; this did not influence my opinion of the book.

Wow! That was not at all what I expected.

What I found was a super hot, laugh-out-loud funny, entertaining read.

I didn’t read the blurb or any reviews going into this, I just saw some friends saying they loved it so I thought I’d take a chance. When I said it was super hot, trust me. Like so hot I’m surprised my Kindle didn’t catch fire.

But it was also tender and sweet. The connection between Gavin and Ellie might have been instantaneous, but it grew into an undeniable love. There was never any doubt that these two were perfect for each other. Gavin is a swoon-worthy, Dominant, alpha male. Who is kind and caring and sensitive. Ellie is an awesome female character who is strong and smart. Stands up for what is right for her. She is unapologetic about her wants and needs and goes after them. She’s a spitfire.

And funny. Both Gavin and Ellie are terrific characters and when they banter with each other I defy you not to laugh.

The writing was terrific, with a solid plot and excellent characters. So why not 5 stars?

While I liked reading about their thoughts and learning more about each character, I felt this carried on for too long at times. Because I really enjoyed the character interactions. All of them, not just between Gavin and Ellie, although I craved more between them especially, but I wanted more between all characters.
