Until now, I had never read or listened to a book penned by Taylor Jenkins Reid. I had no idea what I was missing out on. The story was profound, beautiful and heart-wrenching, and the narrator captured beautifully the emotions within its pages.

Julia Whelan was spectacular! I was captivated by her storytelling. Her timing and pacing were perfect, her character renditions sublime. She brought me to tears when she read the letter from Emma to Jesse, and she had me laughing while she was talking on the phone with Olive.

Ms. Reid takes us on a journey from the teen years of Emma, Jesse, and Sam to their adult lives. Their journeys intertwine. When the Past interrupts the present, will true love win?

I’m not sure you could read this book and not come away without having learned something about yourself. About love. About life.
