This is the follow up to Present Perfect, which I would recommend reading before you read this one. Is it absolutely necessary? No. But you will learn who Brad was before, and why that’s important to who he is now. In this book, the Author, Alison Bailey, gives our Hero, Brad, the chance to redeem himself from the last book. And boy does he ever. “I’m sorry, Mabry. If I had known you were going to be my future, I would have been a better man in my past.” Brad finally meets a girl he wants to spend the rest […]
You HAVE TO GIVE After Forever a CHANCE. It is beautifully and powerfully written. A gut-wrenching story about absolute, all consuming, once in a life-time love, and sorrow, loss and sadness. Sadness so deep that it excruciating. ” Desperation is a chemical, a narcotic. I was desperate for anything, for any emotion other than what I’d been living with for the past year.” I would hope that everyone would give this series a chance. This is the second book in the series and again, I have to say, it is one of the best written books I have ever read. […]
Oh Holy Hell! I need to go find a rock to crawl under and cry for …. Eternity! J.W., you have effectively ripped my heart to shreds… This is one of the most well-written books I have ever read, and I devoured it in less than 12 hours, I even did some sleeping, albeit restlessly, during that time. I’m going to go find some Prozac or Xanax before I read the second book…I know I’m going to need it!
I’m doing the happy dance here! I LOVED it. I wanted Tess and Jase’s story ever since Wait for You and let me tell you J. Lynn delivered in a big way! Jase and Tess are fully developed hero and heroine whose lives take us on two separate journeys, yet intertwine into one wonderful HEA. The writing is wonderfully descriptive and emotive. A hummingbird took flight in my chest, bouncing around like it was going to peck it’s way out of me as a warm breeze picked up, stirring the hairs that had escaped my ponytail. This is what I look for […]
3 1/2 stars for this lumberjack book. It was a simple, sweet story about a soon to be divorced woman who meets a sexy, single lumberjack. The two meet when she, Dianne, nearly burns her rental down, but is saved as he, John, the next door neighbor, comes to the rescue. It is written from the male POV. I didn’t find the male POV believable. It was too feminine. The plot was solid, and held together throughout the book. The characters were developed fairly well, they weren’t emotionally deep, but you knew who they were and what they were doing […]
This is the kind of book that grabs hold of you from the first word and doesn’t let go even after you have read the last word. With the plot and characters so thoroughly and richly developed, and the writing so beautifully detailed, Glenn submerges her readers into the world that is Leah and Danny. You have no choice but to dive in, hold your breath and wait to come up for air. Because this book takes you on an emotional journey right along with the characters. I laughed, because it is incredibly funny and witty. I swooned, because it […]
“Nova was the light and I was stuck in the shadows all the time except for a few moments when she touched me, kissed me, let me touch her, and I couldn’t avoid her light.” Saving Quinton, is the heart breaking follow-up to Breaking Nova. And, wow, what a freaking follow-up! This is where Jessica Sorenson excels. These two books are not romance. They are about life’s struggles. They are about how we handle pain, devastating loss, and feelings of rejection and loneliness. While this book gives us a glimpse inside Dylan and Delilah’s life, the focus is mainly on […]
