Determined to prove that their love can survive anything, Andrew decides to take Camryn on a new journey filled with hope and passion. If only he can convince her to come along for the ride…
It would be hard to write a follow-up book to The Edge Of Never (Which I rated 6 Stars). It was an amazing book. And for me, to read the follow-up was a scary venture. Just as revisiting the tree house Camryn built as a child, and re-visiting New Orleans was a memory tainting experience for her, I was afraid of tainting my memory and the great love I had for that book, by reading this book.
So, how did it rate? For me, this book was good…4 solid stars. It carries on from where the first book left off. Camryn and Andrew continue traveling and experiencing life and it’s struggles. All the while loving each other. And it spans great deal of time. There are hard to read moments, there are tender moments, and there are funny moments.
We still get the amazingly strong Andrew with this book. And I loved it. He is the kind of man you wish your daughter could find. You know he would take care of her, protect her, love her, forever.
We get more of an understanding of Camryn. Why she is broken, seemingly needy of Andrew. Yet she is fiercely loyal, loving and caring.
As a follow-up to the first book, it was good. I enjoyed it. If it were a stand alone, I probably would have given it 5 stars, but I can’t help but compare to the first…which as I already mentioned, I found outstanding. Thankfully, I still have warm and fuzzy feelings about the first book, and now more to add for this one.
