If Oklahoma has cowboys like Jarret Holsten, I imagine there isn’t one woman who doesn’t quiver when in their presence.

Jarret Holsten is a good guy. That is when he isn’t killing someone. His brand of justice aside, he’s loyal to the ones he loves and when he loves, his love is the all-consuming-take your breath away, kind of love.

And Jarret knew the minute Maybe walked up to him at the bar that she would not be someone easily walked away from. He was impressed by her steel backbone, he learned to enjoy her mouthiness and was turned on by the fire in her eyes.

Maybe Quinn was looking for answers, not romance when she came to Oklahoma. The secrets that the twins, Jake and Jarret held could be the answers to her problems. She just had to convince them to trust her and tell her what had been going on at the ranch.

Maybe was fierce, strong and funny. While she liked to have fun she also stood up for what she believed in and didn’t back down. She too, loved with her whole being, often times, putting her wants and needs aside for the people she loved. Falling in love with Jarret was a complication she didn’t need but also something she couldn’t resist.

I loved that the sensual moments in this erotic novel complimented the story, they were not the focus. Often times, when the story revolves around the sex, I lose interest so I appreciated the fact that while Jarret loved his kink, there was so much more about him that was explored.

❝The riding crop has many uses. … On the rance, we use them to discipline horses. But when you’re with me …❞ I pause within striking distance. ❝This crop will be the liberation of your vagina.❞
❝Oh My God❞ She shakes her head in disbelief. ❝My vagina does NOT need to be liberated.❞

This book was such a pleasure to read. While reading, either my heart was in my throat, tears were in my eyes, or I was bellowing with laughter. Those last few chapters were perfect! And, And, OMG, LORNE, his book is NEXT! With the revelations in this book, I cannot wait to get inside his head. I have some theories so I can’t wait to see if I am right!
